HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you all had a great holiday season and are preparing for an exciting year in scouting. As some of you have heard the Cub Scout program is changing in June. They are gearing it to be more modern and keep the boys more active. There will be a webinar on Jan 17th at 10:30 and 5:30. For more information please check out the Council website www.ctrivers.org. This month is our annual Pack Olympics. Our boys will be showing off their athletic prowess in what I am sure will be an enjoyable night for all.

Up and coming events include our Can and Bottle drive at the First Congregational church on Jan 17th and March 21st 9-12am. Please sign up for an 1 1/2 shift. If you are helping bring the cans to the redemption center please sign up for the later one. Our pack swim will be held on the 24th of Jan. at Healthtrax in Glastonbury from 1-3pm with pizza to follow. Please sign up for this tonight as well so we can get a count for pizza. Located at 628 Hebron Ave. #200. The Blue and Gold Banquet is coming up next month Sunday Feb 8th from 1-4pm in the Cafe. The theme will be Around the World in Five Dens. You can work with your dens to come up with a theme and what potluck food you will bring to share with the whole pack. The Pack movie night will also be next month Friday the 13th at 6:30. Movie yet to be determined (don't worry Jason will not be appearing on screen). Come in PJs (no uniform required) bring a pillow and blanket. Then on the 26th of Feb we will have our pinewood derby workshop with master builder Mike Steinbrecher before our parent leadership meeting. The workshop is to help those who have no idea what to do or just need some finishing touches on their cars. Mike always has some great tricks and hints to make a great car. That will start at 6pm.

Class B T-shirts are available: $10 a piece.
