Welcome to pack meeting Number 5 of the 2011-2012 year. Here is some important information on upcoming activities and other pack happenings:

At this meeting we will do our yearly Pack Olympics. There will be five stations that will last for 12 minutes. We will operate as a “round Robin” with dens moving in a clockwise rotation to each event. Also at this meeting, you will receive the pinewood derby cars, so if you did not get one contact your den leader.

· Next Pack Meeting: The next pack meeting, the Blue and Gold, will be held on February 12 at 4:00 to 7:00 in the school Cafeteria. At this pack meeting, the scouts will be receiving their rank advancement. (Tiger, Wolf, Bear, Webelos, Arrow of light)

o This is considered our formal event for the year, it is important that the scouts wear their full Class A uniforms.

o Dens are asked to bring the following items.

§ Dessert for their tables (bring extra plates and napkins for dessert)

§ Table decorations… the theme is resourcefulness… good luck! Use your imagination. Suggestions include tablecloths, placemats, centerpieces

§ I would like each den to have a den cheer. It should be based on the den name.

§ Plates and utensils for dinner will be provided.

· Pack swim – January 29th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Glastonbury Healthtrax fitness club (Exit 8 off Route 2 west- take a right off exit, then right at light, then right into first driveway. Healthtrax will be in the building all the way to the right.)

o We have reserved the pool for 2 hours. We are allowed up to 30 boys in the pool at a time. Siblings are welcome.

o We will have a Boy Scout Life Guard available to teach the swimming Belt Loop and to sign off on the Aquanaut activity badge for any WEBELOS that do not have it.
