Post date: Oct 22, 2015 12:47:03 AM

Here it is October already! Halloween is just over a week away and the leaves are starting to drop. We had a great turn out and time at the camp day. Maybe next time we can sleep over... Hurd park was beautiful and we had some great stew cooked by Kelly and Jason Granatek and a tasty dump cake prepped by Ginny Mitchel. Thanks for all your help.

This week we have a can/bottle drive at the First Congregational Church from 9-12. Please sign up online. This really helps keep the pack going, and we are helping the environment at the same time. Russ Neale and myself will be transporting the cans to the redemption center after, if there is anyone else with a truck or trailer that would not mind helping at 12:00 in case we need extra please let me know.

Novembers events:

Monday the 2nd we have an all den meeting in the Cafe at 6:30 pm. Please submit your Popcorn Sales forms and money.

Pow-Wow adult training is on the 7th sign up online at www.ctrivers.org. You can take a class about camp cooking or knots or any leadership position and more.

Monday the 16th will be our November Pack meeting which is our Diversity event. Please sign up online for that at our pack website. Bring something to show and tell about what makes your family diverse. It can be anything you want to share with the pack so we can all get a better understanding of each other and how we all make up this great group of people.

* Popcorn Sales forms and money are due on Nov 2nd all Den meeting. The popcorn sales are the main fundraiser for our Pack. We need the money to pay for activities, training, and awards. Each Scout is asked to set a goal to sell $350.00. Door to Door sales are allowed, but only with an adult, and Cubs should be in full uniform. The Pack will match monetary value of all prizes awarded by Trails End. Popcorn orders with full payment are due at our November 2nd Pack meeting.

Next month at the Pack meeting we will be collecting the dues for 2016. All new members have already paid. This is for returning scouts from last year. The fees have gone up and Boys life is included. Boys Life is a great magazine and it really keeps the boys interested and involved. The Fee for Each boy is $62. If you have any problems or issues with this please speak to me and we can work what ever they are out. Thanks and Stay Safe this Halloween season!

Class B T-shirts are available: $10 a piece.
