FINAL UPDATE BEFORE
CAMP - DETAILS FROM STU:
Camp runs daily from 9AM
to 4PM. We will meet daily at 8:15 AM in the Marlborough
Elementary School parking lot by the community room/cafeteria
entrance and return there at approximately 4:30 PM. There are 4
parents/cars going to camp every day, and I am hopeful that
we'll be able to fit all the boys in those 4 cars daily. If not,
we may need some extra driving help. I am attaching a
driving permission slip, which must be signed and returned
to me on Monday before we leave for camp.
I will also be collecting medical forms for all the boys
before we leave on Monday. Your son must have a completed
medical form. If he does not have one he will be sent home.
Please review the form, and make sure that you have signed
everywhere you need to. If your son has to bring medication to
camp, please make sure it is in the original container, and
please only send enough for the week. The nurse at camp will
determine whether or not you son can carry his own medication or
if it needs to be kept at the health lodge.
Parents going to camp need to have a completed medical form
as well. If you are only going for one day and have not had
the "standard" medical form filled out yet, you can substitute
the attached "Weekend
Health History" form. The standard medical form is
preferable. *If a Weekend form
is used, you will not be allowed to participate in activities
such as swimming, archery, & BB shooting.
Each day your son needs to bring to camp a bathing suit, towel,
hat, sunscreen, bug spray (non aerosol please) and a lunch. The
camp will provide drinks for lunch, as well as a morning &
afternoon snack. It has been requested that you pack lunch in a
paper bag, as refrigerator space is limited. Please have your
son wear sneakers (please, no flip flops or sandals), and if the
forecast calls for it, some kind of rain gear.
Because of the size of our group, we will be split into 2 dens.
The wolves & bears will be in one den, and the Webelos will be
in another den. I will be the leader of the wolf/bear den. The
Webelos den will include boys from another pack, and will be led
by adults from that pack. I'm assuming that you will spend the
day with whichever den you son is in.
Camp pictures are $9.00. A few of you have already paid
for them, and for everyone else, I will be collecting money
on Monday morning (cash or a check payable to CRC).
